This post here is about my first feature that connects both my blog and my youtube account (yup, I have one of those too!) and I would like to call it "Game Time". Basically, what I do is I post a video of myself playing a video game...wait, don't leave yet! Yes, I know that everyone does this kind of thing now but that's basically my point. Why not me too? Seeing as my equip load is rather...lacking, I don't really do much commentary; it's just you and me, playing games. I also go for more organic playthroughs; I don't do speed runs and I don't attempt to showcase myself being ridiculously awesome. I just want to play the game and I want you to enjoy it.
So with that out of the way, I'll introduce my first episode...
Djermengandre's Game Time, Ep. 1: Featuring Roar Rampage
Seeing as the video is the main attraction (go to Youtube to watch the remaining parts), here is where I talk about the game in general.
"Roar Rampage" is a browser game that you can find on the website neutronized.com. It is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up type game, but the twist that makes this game SUPER (especially in my case) is that you play as a giant dinosaur with a boxing glove. And you don't fight thugs on the streets; you fight buildings, other structures and various military units that are trying to take you down.
I love this game for a good number of reasons. The first is that it is rather meaty for a browser game; it has fifteen levels and it quickly becomes pretty challenging but the challenge comes from how fast you can get your reflexes to respond to the threats on your screen. It is authentic difficulty and isn't cheap in any way.
The second reason is the clever use of physics. When you damage buildings in "Roar Rampage", they fall in on themselves and you punch the falling building parts, sending them flying! You can also knock enemies into one another, destroying both of them! The one boss in the game...well, I'll let you watch the video to see, but its great! The game is awesome! It's super fun! And it allows you to DESTROY the puny humans and their WEAK structures! GWOOOOOAAAARRR!! Ooh...ahem, I apologize. That doesn't usually happen.
Anyway, I will link you to the entire episode, for your convenience:
There. Look out for episodes of Game Time...hopefully, I can figure out what game to play next.
Stomp Ya Later.
